Mount Eddy Hike

We followed the spine of the PCT, where pines whisper secrets to the wind, and footsteps echoed softly through meadows brushed with lupine and paintbrush red.

Upward we climbed, past alpine lakes, glass still and deep in cirques below deadfall, Upper, and pristine Castle, each a mirror of the sky’s blue soul.

Mount Shasta watched in silent grace, snow-cloaked and regal to the east, while Eddy’s peak, serene and strong, promised peace and a view beyond belief.

The Trinity Divide beneath our feet, the edge of watersheds where dreams split west and east.
We paused, we breathed, we laughed aloud the journey was the gift, the summit just the bow.

With sun above and trail behind,
We etched this day in memory's stone. A mountain, a path, a clear-eyed view and hearts that knew they’d truly grown.

Seguimos la columna vertebral del PCT, donde los pinos susurran secretos al viento, y las pisadas resonaban suaves por praderas cubiertas de lupinos y pinceladas rojas.

Ascendimos hacia arriba, junto a lagos alpinos, vidrio quieto y profundo en circos abajo—
Deadfall, Upper y el prístino Castle, cada uno espejo del alma azul del cielo.

El monte Shasta observaba con gracia silente, cubierto de nieve y regio hacia el oriente, mientras la cumbre de Eddy, serena y fuerte,
prometía paz y una vista sin precedente.

El Trinity Divide bajo nuestros pies, el borde de cuencas donde los sueños se dividen en oeste y este.
Nos detuvimos, respiramos, reímos a voz viva—el viaje fue el regalo, la cumbre solo la cinta festiva.

Con el sol arriba y el sendero atrás,
grabamos este día en la piedra de la memoria.
Una montaña, un camino, una vista clara, y corazones que supieron que en verdad crecían.
