Chirico Trail

Poo-Poo Point

Chirico trail to Poo-Poo Point

Sendero Chirico hasta Poo-Poo Point

Upward we climb, three miles to the sky,

A path well-trodden, where the world is nigh.

From Issaquah’s heart, we rise and descend,

Through nature’s embrace, on which we depend.

Lake Sammamish gleams, a mirror of blue,

El lago Sammamish brilla, espejo de azul,

Bellevue afar, in the shimmering view.

Southward, Mount Rainier, majestic and grand,

Hacia el sur, el monte Rainier, majestuoso y grandioso,

A sentinel watching over the land.

Un centinela que vigila la tierra silenciosa.

The chorus of birds sings sweet in the trees,

Whispers of wind in the cool mountain breeze.

Wild blackberries ripe, a gift from the earth,

Moras negras maduras, regalo de la tierra,

Mushrooms and flowers, all bursting with mirth.

Hongos y flores, rebosantes de alegría.

Take a moment, pause, let your spirit align,

Tómate un momento, detente, alinea tu espíritu,

With the beauty that flourishes, peaceful, divine.

For in each step, in each breath we reclaim,

The wonders of life, through nature’s frame.
